The Pitching Page 8
(Look At Me)
Look at me
Can I see the changes through the years
Can I see the past behind me or the dreams
That use to blind me to the fears
That somewhere down the line
I'll wake up and I'll find
The rainbows I have followed now are gone
Can I put the past behind me
Because all the dreams that held me
Now are gone
Did I give it my best try
Or do I ask myself why
I let the world slip on by without regret
Or did the bad out weigh the reasons
That I just kept on believing
in something I now somehow should forget
Did I do the best I could
Or did the bad out weigh the good
Did I follow dreams that I could never be
Now I look into the mirror
As I'm holding back my tears
And look at me
